A DETECTABLE WARNING is a standardized surface feature built in or applied to walking surfaces or other elements to warn visually impaired people of hazards that are on a circulation path. (ADAAG 3.5)
Detectable warnings are unique and standardized features, intended to function much like a stop sign. They alert pedestrians who are visually impaired to the presence of hazards in the line of travel, indicating that they should stop and determine the nature of the hazard before procedding furthur.
WISCO manufactures a concrete detectable warning on walking surface (4.29.2) These concrete paver has a Truncated Dome and comply with all the requirements of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and the ADAAG (American With Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines).

The deep red color of this paver has a visual contrast to the adjoining natural colored concrete generally used on sidewalks. (Custom Colors on request)
